Basil's owners contacted us in desperation one day. They really had hit rock bottom with Basil as his latest incident had involved severe aggression in a public place, and his owners had needed to call the police in to help deescalate the situation. Basil was a complex character as he had structural problems, health problems and a strong tendency to resource guard. We worked together over a couple of months and finally Basil and his owners are in a much better place. They had seriously contemplated letting Basil go with the police at the time because the incident was distressing for everyone, and they did not want anyone else to be put at risk. They have worked extremely hard, and never gave up on Basil. It's amazing to see the change and to hear that life is now happy again.
