Residential Training Benefits

Are you going away on a trip? Looking for boarding kennels but having some training problems as well? A residential course might be the best way to tackle both problems. You can house your dog with us whilst you go on holiday (or have a week's peace!), and we will train them too.

We offer residential training as well as our 1-2-1 sessions. The most common problems that we deal with during residential courses are lead pulling, recall, reactivity and general ignoring of commands!

Residential training can be really beneficial if you are struggling with putting in the initial intensive time to get the ball rolling with your training or behaviour modification, or feel at a bit of a loss with the methods you have already been trying. Laying the foundation for good obedience and behaviour modifications is the hardest part. Timing must be spot on, you must be able to read your dog well and have the time to spend doing this. That's where we come in!

The dogs come to stay with us for more intensive training. Usually 1-2 weeks is enough for us to make marked changes to your dogs behaviour. We train the dogs for 2-3 hours per day and they are exercised at the kennels too.

Following a residential stay you will receive a full handover on how to handle your dog, commands used and how to correctly use any equipment we advise. During their stay you will receive regular updates and videos so that you can see the progress we are making, and see that your loved one is happy. Following the handover we email a report of the residential training with a run down of commands for your reference.

We are always available for any advice following our residentials or 1-2-1s.

At the moment we have some availability at the end of July and during August 2022 so feel free to give us a ring to discuss whether this could be the right option for you and your dog.
