What age should I start training my puppy?

As soon as possible! Puppies are like sponges so don't waste this valuable time in showing them the correct ways to behave. Once a puppy leaves their mother they need a new leader to guide them in life otherwise they will make their own decisions, which thought out in a little puppy brain is probably not going to end very well. The longer that you wait to train your puppy, the more confusing it will be for them because you will start changing the expectations that they have become used to. The best thing to do is start as you mean to go on to make the process as stress free for you and the pup as possible.

We now offer an Elite Puppy Course which could be just what you are looking for. We believe prevention is always better than cure which is what we had in mind when we put together the Elite Puppy Course. The course consists of six weekly, hour long sessions to help set you and your puppy up for life. ( Please check out our services page for more details).

Martin has very recently added a new puppy to the Yorkshire K9 family 🙂 Lennox is a working line German Shepherd puppy. We will be following little Lennox's progress on our blogs and Instagram @yorkshireK9 so you can watch him grow into a handsome, well-mannered boy.
